PuckMasters Training
Good Afternoon Parents and Players,
Over the next few months our team will be having off-ice training and group lessons at PuckMasters for the remainder of the season. The PuckMasters facility is located in Wixom, MI. (Many of you are already familiar with the facility.) The first session for our off-ice is scheduled for this Thursday at 6 pm. At this first session JP from PuckMasters will explain further the program I have put together to help advance the players abilities and the team as a whole. All Players including Goalies should attend the Off-ice training and should come dressed in gym clothes and gym shoes.
Coach Joe.
Happy Birthday Dominic!
Happy 10th Birthday Dominic G!
The 02 Livingston Lightning family wishes you a very happy birthday.
We hope you had a great day!
Practice for Saturday 10-20-12 has been cancelled
Parents, I am sorry to get everyone overly excited. The ice for this weekend was going to be free for us to use. It was offered by the 02 rebels team or more specifically Lance the head coach. They however somehow one way or another sold the ice and it is no longer available. This is fairly typical of the way they do things on that team.
Seems staged… but it is what it is. No Practice this weekend enjoy the time off.
Coach Joe
Practice for Saturday 10-20-12
I know you will receive another notification on the practice for this Sat the 20th. Just to confirm this practice is at KENSINGTON VALLEY ICE HOUSE on the North rink and NOT at Grand Oaks.
See you then,
Coach Joe.
Parent Meeting followup
Hello parents,
Thank you for attending the parent meeting this past week. During the meeting I recommended that you as the parents submit your thoughts on playing time and team strategies. I have received a few replies and appreciate the feedback. Please do what you can to send me a short email regarding the following topics.
1) Playing time (Equal or not)
2) Situational playing time (Equal or not) (Power plays penalty kills etc.)
3) Puckmasters as a team vs. individually and the overall cost of ice bills
4) Practice are mandatory. Practice is for learning and games are for doing? Is this a good approach?
5) Off Ice training.
6) anything else we discussed or did not discuss.
We need to finalize our playing strategies going forward. It will be simpler if we are all on the same page.
Also I would like to move on in the next week or so discussing with each parent the different areas of improvement for each skater.
